Two departments did not report new cases of covid-19 and nine did not register any deaths

According to the National Institute of Health (INS), this August 2, 2021 The departments of Guainía and Vaupés have not reported any new confirmed cases of covid-19.

Among the departments that have not recorded any deaths are Madeleine, where a total of 88,659 cases of covid-19 and 3,192 deaths have been reported out of a population of 1,342,000. At the last peak of the pandemic, the department reported 1,471 cases and 412 deaths at its most critical.

In Choco, Another region that has not recorded deaths from covid-19, 16,007 cases have been recorded since the start of the pandemic and 384 deaths. On June 2, the department experienced the highest time of infections with 410.

Putumayo has reported a total of 15,431 people infected and 629 deaths since the start of the pandemic. On November 2, 2020, it reported 834 infections, the worst record since the start of the pandemic, while on August 11 of the same year, there were 12 deaths from SARS-COV-2.

Arauca data shows that since the arrival of the virus in Colombia, 12,771 cases have been recorded in the region, causing 415 deaths. In November 2020, 802 cases were presented, being the worst day of the department in the history of the pandemic, while in death it was last July 12 with 13.

As for the Amazon, there have been reports 6,625 cases of covid-19 and 251 deaths in total. According to data from health authorities, the worst moment of infection occurred on November 2 with 492 deaths, while in terms of deaths it was May 28, 2020 with 57 deaths.
