Monkeys tend to feature in some of the most viewed posts by social media users. Their intelligence and their reactions – very close to those of humans – arouse tenderness in millions of people. A good example of this trend is the impact it has had over the past few hours. a funny video in which an orangutan puts on sunglasses.

The post was produced by @minorcrimes and already has over 32 million views. In the pictures you can see how the ape, which is holding its baby, grabs the glasses that a tourist accidentally dropped in her recital and tries them on with total naturalness. “It’s gold,” exclaimed the owner of the glasses at the animal’s incredible reaction.

In the description of the publication, the woman specifies that she made this audiovisual recording during her visit to a zoo in Indonesia. The hilarious part was that she believed the orangutan had other plans with his stuff. “No, don’t eat it!”, we hear him say as the animal sneaked onto the object. However, within seconds the fear turned into astonishment.

Towards the end of the clip, after offering some great poses for the camera, the new TikTok star decides to return his things to the tourist. Unfortunately, although his intentions were good, when the monkey throws the glasses out of his enclosure, you can hear how they shatter when they hit the ground. “I lost a pair of glasses, but I have a good story”concludes the woman.

The video of two gangs of monkeys fighting over a banana in the middle of the street

By the end of last week, primates had already caused a stir on the internet. The incident took place in Thailand, specifically in Lopburi, the province where the Phra Prang Sam Yod shrine is located. It is currently a popular tourist destination and has a large population of crab-eating macaques.

This place is frequently visited by thousands of people having fun with the wonders of the city, while the monkeys from the region ask them for food. The coronavirus pandemic has reduced the number of visitors and this has caused the animals to be hungrier than normal. Normally they are very organized: a group of monkeys order food from the Sanctuary of Phra Prang Sam Yod and the other in the market and the government bank.

Lopburi citizen named Wisrut Suwanphak posted pictures and videos of the spectacular moment when the two gangs clash for a banana thrown by a tourist. Other pedestrians and motorists passing through the neighborhood also filmed this unusual moment. Many of them did not get out of their vehicles out of fear.

There were so many crab-eating macaques that they terrified everyone. According to local residents, a fight involving so many macaques had not taken place for a long time. The fight lasted for several minutes until one of the monkey gangs surrounded the rivals, forcing them to flee.
