One video which went viral on Wednesday shows the dangerous landing of a Boeing 737 at an airport in Bhutan. The flight would be from Tri MG Asian Airlines, a South Asian company that has already had some problems with its landings on previous occasions.
The Aviation Herald website reported that the plane, registered PK-YGW, was flying from India to the city of Paro, Bhutan. As heard in the video, you first receive a warning for your bank angle, then a warning for your descent angle, and you are prompted to stand up.
The pilots of the cargo plane ignored these warnings and continued their descent. The images leave no doubt: the Boeing The 737 struck the ground violently and everyone in the cockpit – pilot, co-pilot and whoever was filming – jumped from impact against the runway.
The flight, which stayed in the city of Paro for another 16 hours, was carrying Moderna vaccines donated to Bhutan by the Covax initiative. He then continued on his way to Bangkok, Thailand.
On Twitter, some users shared images of other accidents involving Tri MG Asian Airlines. In one photo, it looks like a plane left the runway and ended up in swampy terrain.
Another of the users of this social network found a video of the Al Jazeera network showing the landing from the outside, and clearly indicates that the impact against the track was considerable. The images are seen in the first seconds of the journalistic report.
