Russia released daily coronavirus death record for third day in a row

Russia recorded 819 deaths from COVID-19 in 24 hours on Saturday, a new daily high for the third day in a row, according to the latest report from Russian health authorities.

The previous record of coronavirus deaths was reported on Friday, with 815 deaths, which was preceded by Thursday, with 808.

During the day, the country detected 22,144 new cases, of which 1,816 (8.2%) are asymptomatic.

In Moscow, the epicenter of COVID-19 in Russia, the number of infections continues to decline. with 2,317 in the last 24 hours, 8% less than Friday.

The authorities of the capital have underlined a improvement of the situation in the city, where in recent weeks they have hospitalizations and deaths halved by an infectious disease.

Other infections have been detected in Saint Petersburg (1,823) and Moscow province (1,307). In addition, they have been confirmed 57 dead in Moscow and 48 in St. Petersburg.

According to health authorities, 19,550 people have been released in the last 24 hours, with which the total number of cured patients amounted to 5,867,890.
