Spain lifts ten-day quarantine for Argentines who can travel

From this Tuesday, Argentines traveling to Spain will not have to comply with the ten-day quarantine that the Spanish government imposed in July on travelers from six Latin American countries and Africa, including Argentina.

This has been confirmed at Bugle this Monday a source from the Spanish Ministry of Health, which had introduced the measure on July 23 and affected passengers of flights from Argentina, from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Namibia and South Africa, for being considered at high risk of infection with Covid.

The mandatory quarantine, which could be reduced from ten to seven days if the person underwent a PCR test and the result was negative, would be in effect, initially, until August 9. But Spain extended the measure until midnight on Monday.

In other words, from this Tuesday, Argentines going to Spain will have to have completed the immunization schedule against the coronavirus at least fourteen days before landing on Spanish soil.

This vaccination will be considered valid only if they have been immunized with one of the authorized sera by the European Medicines Agency -Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Janssen- or approved by the World Health Organization, which adds the Sinopharm and Sinovac-Coronavac vaccines to the previous ones.

For those who were vaccinated with Sputnik V, not yet recognized in Europe, the condition for entering Spain is to have a negative PCR carried out 48 hours before arrival.

Not everyone can travel

However, not all Argentines can, for the moment, enter Spain.
