According to a first article on social networks, The Doctor was made available to the FGR and the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) at the Matamoros-Brownsville International Bridge.

By a press release, the public prosecutor’s office in charge of Alejandro Gertz Manero explained that around 5:15 p.m. (local time), the former Tijuana cartel leader, officially presented as Eduardo “A”, was placed in the custody of Mexican authorities “for the execution of an arrest warrant against him , granted by a Federal Judge, for his probable responsibility in the crimes of organized crime, against health and criminal association”.

It is now guarded by the FGR and Sedena were arrested in 2008 in Tijuana, Baja California, to be subsequently extradited to the United States in 2012, for numerous charges of various crimes, for which the authorities of this country have offered a reward of $ 5 million (100 million pesos at the exchange rate of about today).

Likewise, the FGR specified that the Specialized organized crime prosecutor (FEMDO), who managed and obtained the corresponding arrest warrant, completed it and will make it available to the Judge at the Federal Center for Social Rehabilitation Number 1 “El Altiplano”, in the State of Mexico.
