Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris’s trip from Singapore to Vietnam was postponed three hours Tuesday after an “abnormal health incident” in Hanoi, the US Embassy in the Vietnamese capital reported.

Harris was due to leave for Hanoi on Tuesday afternoon, after giving a speech in Singapore, lambasting China for its forays into the South China Sea and after discussing supply chain issues with business leaders.

After being more than three hours late, Symone Sanders, Harris’ main spokesperson, declined to give details. Uninvited, he claimed Harris was “fine,” although reporters saw the vice president several times on Tuesday and they had no reason to worry about their health.

Harris’s office referred the questions to the State Department. The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi issued a statement after Harris left Singapore.
