They burned six beehives and killed over a million bees

The English authorities are very concerned about an unusual attack. A group of people set fire to six beehives, which caused the deaths of over a million bees.

Those responsible have not yet been identified or arrested, but Nottingham police have confirmed that occasional fires in the shelters of these copies occurred on Saturday August 21 on the outskirts of this traditional British town.

Incalculable damage

The main victim of this attack was the beekeeper Mariusz Chudy, a 52-year-old man and owner of the six hives in which the bees were scattered.

For their part, the police authorities investigating the episode described it as a “deliberately cruel act”.

The producer victim of this attack is dedicated to the manufacture and sale of honey since 1994. In a traditional way, he has built more than 20 beehives, and among them were those that were raped.

Although the material and economic losses for Chudy are between 1200 and 1500 euros, the environmental damage that this intentional fire generated cannot be dimensioned. And it is that bees are key animals in the ecosystem, since their pollination and its entire production process allows the vegetation of the spaces to remain alive and take care of the environment.
