Pope Francis spoke of his recent operation: “A nurse saved my life”

Francisco was operated on on July 4 “Due to severe diverticular stenosis with signs of sclerosing diverticulitis”, in which part of the colon was removed and for which he was hospitalized for 10 days.

In the last acts, Francisco appeared to be fully recovered, although during a recent hearing with Catholic lawmakers, he began his speech by apologizing for not being able to speak standing up because he is still “in the postoperative period of his intervention”.

Herrera assured that during the 1.5-hour conversation, which took place last week at the Pope’s residence in Rome, Francisco “answered all questions”.

Herrera also noted that the Pope “He’s got a lot of health for everyone, and to that he responded with his quintessentially Argentinian humor.”
