Elizabeth Loaiza to introduce bill to Congress to punish those who place biopolymers

Elizabeth was the subject of conversation a few days ago because of an announcement she made on her social media regarding the final elimination of the biopolymers that were left in her buttocks. It should be mentioned that this was the second procedure he underwent.

Now, la caleña has returned to generate a discussion on behalf of a proposal that concerns the use of this substance by cosmetic surgeons. Through her Instagram account, the businesswoman shared the idea of ​​tabling a bill to sanction those who place biopolymers in proceedings of this type.

“(…) We are going to introduce a bill in Congress to create a law that penalizes the application of these substances and which helps people who have already been victims to withdraw from these substances”The model announced, shifting her cause from social media to the legislature.

This Monday, the model endorsed the decision to materialize this initiative, calling a press conference on Tuesday 31 at the Congress of the Republic. “A year and a half ago I launched the campaign ‘Not one more with biopolymers’, tomorrow my dream will come true, we will submit the project (…) for the ban of these substances so harmful to the health in Colombia “, underline. He also said that such a proposal could take up to two years to be approved, but despite this, it will be very much on hold during the process.

On the other hand, Norma Hurtado, House representative of the La U party, tabled a bill on August 3 to penalize those who use biopolymers in beauty and aesthetic procedures in prison. Another objective of this initiative is to make departmental and departmental health entities accountable for compliance with the conditions with the health providers corresponding to the said substance.

The representative told Semana that the document includes the imposition, in addition to prison, “the extinction of the domain of the property or of the commercial establishment where said substances are applied and the sale of the property will be intended to compensate the victims”.

The project indicates, among other things, that for preventive purposes, “A series of mandates is proposed which lead the corresponding authorities to carry out prevention and promotion campaigns to alert citizens to the harmful effects caused by the application of unauthorized health modeling substances, the establishment of warnings of non-application of such elements in establishments which have been identified on several occasions as providers of this type of service, as well as the establishment of consultation and complaint channels that arise in relation to the subject discussed here “, as well as other provisions.
