Biden ordered documents on 9/11 attacks declassified

“We must never forget the continuing pain of the families and loved ones of the 2,977 innocent people who died in the worst terrorist attack on the United States in our history. For them, it was not just a national and international tragedy. . It was a personal devastation. ” , recalled the president.

He added that his “heart goes out to the families of September 11 who are suffering” and that his government “will continue to respectfully engage with the members of this community”.

In early August, the Justice Department announced that the FBI had decided to examine the 9/11 documents to “identify additional information to be released as soon as possible,” the Europa Press news agency reported.

The move comes after more than 1,600 people affected by the attacks that rocked the world sent a letter to Biden asking for the information to be declassified.
