A 33 year old man from Pristina, Kosovo, arrived in the emergency room of a local hospital after swallowing the famous and classic cell phone.

The unusual situation gave Dr. Skender Telaku the task of safely removing the phone from the man’s stomach as it was “too big for him to handle.”

But beyond the curiosity of the matter, the point is that The device endangered the life of this person, since its corrosive battery and the chemicals it contains are toxic to the human body, to the point of causing death.

Fortunately, the operation went well and the doctor removed the phone from her stomach. Telaku posted photos of the phone on Facebook, along with x-rays and endoscopic images. It was in the man’s stomach.

I received a call about a patient who swallowed an object and after doing a scan we noticed that the phone had split into three parts ”, Telaku told local media in Kosovo.

“Of all the parts, it was the battery that worried us the most because it could have exploded in the belly of the man”, added.

The man reportedly went to hospital in the capital Pristina after suffering from stomach aches. He had swallowed a Nokia 3310 phone and did not say why, according to the doctor.

In the photos, you can see the doctor and his team locate and retrieve the phone from the stomach, an operation that took two hours until the device was removed.

There have been numerous examples of people swallowing cell phones, according to a 2014 case study. The last of these that mattered is that of a 29-year-old man who swallowed his phone in 2016 and, although he vomited for many hours, the device got stuck in his stomach. .. Surgery was required to remove the device.

And oddly enough, this unusual fact ended up being one more stress test for the indestructible Nokia 3310.
