Vladimir Putin is isolated: several cases of COVID-19 have been detected in his environment

The President of Russia, Vladimir Poutine, he was forced to self-empowerment when detecting cases of coronavirus in your environmentthe Kremlin announced on Tuesday.

According to the Russian presidency, Putin, 68, reported this to his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Rajmon, during a telephone conversation.

This Monday, the Russian president commented during a meeting held at the Kremlin with Russian Paralympic athletes that several cases of COVID-19 contagion had been detected in their environment.

“It is necessary to understand what is really going on with this. I think I’ll have to isolate myself soon, we have a lot of sick“, advancement.

The Russian president, who was vaccinated against COVID in February (and only revealed it was with the Sputnik V formula months later in June), has avoided participating in all manner of public events opposite face to face for over a year and preferred to hold telematic meetings with representatives of the government and Russian institutions.

Although Sputnik has been shown to be very effective in preventing severe cases of COVID, a low rate of infections among vaccinees (breakthrough infections) is also reported. Among them is Argentine President Alberto Fernández, who tested positive in April with mild symptoms.
