A curious cat has gone viral on Twitter after its owner posted adorable pictures of the sleeping animal. What is striking is that his posture, quite particular, resembles what any human would have in his moments of rest.

It is almost a custom that these cats have to talk daily through networks, and this cat was no exception. Sitting on its two hind legs, the two forelegs crossed (one on top of the other) on the stomach, the animal tried to rest without realizing that some photos were taken.

With nearly 440,000 likes and shared more than 103,000 times, some took the opportunity to turn this funny photo into a meme. “Parents, two minutes after sitting on the couch,” Meowed’s account added.

Many others showed their cultural knowledge and brought similar references: from images of the funny Pikachu in a similar position, to Bernie Sanders, to illustrations created by artists who took advantage of these beautiful images.

The photos of the animal resting in this funny posture also encouraged other users to share photos of their cats while they are resting in a very similar way, or in a daily activity that almost looks like the one of any human: for example, resting his paws on his computer keyboard.
