Government to buy 40 million vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna

The national government will announce tomorrow, according to media in Buenos Aires, the purchase of 20 million vaccines from Pfizer and 20 million from Moderna.

Since the start of the campaign, Argentina has received 68,366,325 vaccines. Of this total, 28,856,000 correspond to Sinopharm, 14,183,210 belong to Sputnik V (10,125,655 of component 1 and 4,057,555 of component 2), and 3,129,125 to Sputnik V produced in Argentina by the Richmond Laboratory ( 1,179,625 for the first component and 1,949,500 for the second).

The 40 million doses of vaccines that the government will announce will come from American laboratories, both with the platform of Messenger RNA. The country has already received 3.5 million doses of Moderna and more than 580,000 vaccines from the Pfizer laboratory. These doses of Pfizer and Modern will be used to vaccinate against Covid-19 adolescents between 13 and 18 years old and adults.
