Russia recorded 887 coronavirus deaths in the past day, the fourth day of consecutive highs throughout the pandemic, according to data released on Friday by the COVID-19 operational center.
The day before their death 867 patients, Wednesday 857 and Tuesday 852.
Moscow and St. Petersburg are the cities that have reported the most deaths over the past 24 hours, with 64 and 55, respectively.
Since the start of the pandemic, the country has died from the coronavirus 208,142 people, although official figures on excessive deaths during the same period have tripled that number.
It is remarkable that the percentage of deaths from confirmed cases has risen again in the country, more than double the average for the rest of the world on this item.

In a broader definition of coronavirus-related deaths, the statistics agency Rosstat reported in August that there had been more than 350,000 dead.
The number of infections also continues to grow, since between Thursday and Friday they were recorded 24,522 new cases in 85 Russian regions, 634 more than the day before.
This is the highest number of infections since July 22.
Authorities attribute the increase in infections to the fact that currently, the pandemic is associated with the flu season and the dominance of the delta variant, considered more aggressive.
However, this also affects the fact that they have so far only been vaccinated 42.3 million with the full guideline, out of a population of 146 million inhabitants.
Several Russian vaccines have been available for months, but the authorities fought to vaccinate a skeptical population.
