Buenos Aires deputy candidate of Juntos por el Cambio Facundo Manes showed up this Saturday with boxer Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez in Madrid, looking for capture the vote of Argentines living abroad.

The neuroscientist traveled to the Spanish capital to present his book “Being Human” and took the opportunity to meet members of the Argentine community, including Martínez, who had already supported him before PASO.

It is no coincidence that “Maravilla” Martínez was at this meeting, seated next to Manes. Did the boxer quilmeño support the candidacy of the neuroscientist with different videos in which invited his followers to “take the step”, which was the motto of his campaign.

With this meeting, Manes sought to get closer to those who live outside the country in an attempt to capture the vote of Argentines abroad for the November 14 elections.

“Nice meeting with Argentines living in Madrid! It is fascinating to know that, wherever we are, more and more compatriots share the same dream: that Argentina can overcome decadence and move towards development”, said Manes later wrote about the meeting in the Spanish capital. .

There are around 385,000 Argentines who live outside the country and who will be able to vote in November, after not having done so in PASO, as the midterm elections did not take place outside the country.

Argentines living outside the country can vote if they have changed their address in a foreign country 180 days before the elections and this is recorded in their national identity document (DNI), since the passport is not not a document authorized to vote.

The number of voters entered in the Register of Argentinian Voters Residing Abroad, which is permanent and compiled by the National Electoral Chamber (CNE), represents approximately 1.13% of the national register, made up of 34,330,557 voters.
