These days the the tourism industry breathes more relieved and it reorganizes itself in front of the plan of relaxation of restrictions that the national government announced last week, against the backdrop of the pandemic that has hit the industry so hard.
The delay in definitions for opening borders and the new international passenger quota have made planning difficult for travel agencies, airlines and passengers.
By the Administrative Decision published on Friday October 1 in the Official Journal, it was established that between Monday October 4 and October 10, the quota will be extended to 21,000 passengers per week.

From October 11 to the 14th day after 50% of Argentina’s population is fully vaccinated, 28,000 weekly passenger seats will be allowed.
And once 14 days have elapsed from the date on which our country reaches 50% coverage of the population with a complete vaccination schedule, the Nation’s Ministry of Health would announce the removal of the quota.
Sanitary requirements
As it was published a few days ago, on October 1, 2021, the entry of vaccinated foreigners from neighboring countries has been authorized, with no obligation to quarantine.
In turn, Argentines and vaccinated foreigners must present a negative PCR carried out within 72 hours before arrival, an antigen test must be carried out on arrival in the country (which will be eliminated 14 days after reaching 50 % of the population vaccinated with two doses) and carry out another PCR between the fifth and the seventh day after entering the country.
In addition, tourists and non-resident foreigners must have insurance with Covid-19 coverage.

Those who presented a positive Covid-19 in the 90 days preceding the entry into the country, confirmed by laboratory, do not have to present the PCR test to enter the national territory, but rather accredit the results and the medical exit after more ten days of diagnosis.
People who test positive should remain isolated for 10 days.
Minors who have not completed the vaccination schedule, but who are in the company of adults entering the country, will have to quarantine and carry out a PCR on the seventh day of their arrival.
Likewise, non-resident foreigners who do not come for tourist reasons and who do not present a complete vaccination schedule, if they are duly authorized by Migration to enter the country for professional or medical reasons, must take action. quarantine. The same goes for unvaccinated Argentines.
To enter and leave the country, you must complete an electronic affidavit from the National Migration Office, filling out the online form within 48 hours before travel.
If the vaccination has been carried out in our country, passengers must have the proof registered in the My Argentina app. On the other hand, those who have been vaccinated abroad must have the supporting document validated by the country which carried out the vaccination.

What will happen in November
From November 1, international tourists from all over the world will be able to arrive without a quarantine requirement.
The requirements will be: have a complete vaccination schedule, present a negative PCR performed 72 hours before shipment, an antigen test on arrival and another PCR between the fifth and seventh day 7 of arrival.
The government has confirmed that the cost of the tests will be borne by the traveler arriving in the country.
Once 14 days have passed since Argentina reaches 50% of the population with a full vaccination program, those entering the country with a full vaccination will be exempt from antigen testing. In turn, in this case, passenger entry quotas would be eliminated.
Access controls at Aeroparque and Ezeiza have also been suspended, so that companions can enter the hall with passengers.
Flight approval
ANAC will provide for the approval of schedules of at least 90 minutes of separation between flights in the case of passenger operations with “wide-body”. And that will be 60 minutes of separation for narrow-body planes, terms that are necessary “for the health check”.
At the same time, he will inform the Migration Office of scheduled flights at least 48 hours in advance, as well as of scheduled changes.
It should be noted that these measures will also be ineffective after 14 days from the date on which Argentina reaches 50% coverage of the population with a full vaccination schedule.
