Relatives of Argentines who disappeared in Mexico demand that the search for the yacht they were crewing be reactivated by all means

The families of Renzo Spasiano and Carlos Juárez, Argentinian crew members of yacht disappeared in Mexico, ask Mexican navy to continue operation to find them since they assure that after a week without traces a “passive search” process has been entered. The same information regarding the Mexican authorities was shared by the International Rescue Brigade in Cancun, a humanitarian organization which collaborated in the search.

As he explained, this means that “only if the ships that are out there on the high seas see them, the alarm is activated again and they look for it again on the plane.”

“It would be logical for them to search for them by air, everything seems to be continuing without drifting engines.”He said he hoped and for that, the relatives had to face a fundraising to continue the research in private.

“I have a younger brother there and I here in Mendoza try to find as much money as possible. and we hope the bank will give us the official dollar to collect as much as we can, as costs vary from $ 5,000 to $ 20,000 an hour by plane, depending on the hours used, ”said the man of Mendoza.

While the Consul of Argentina in Playa del Carmen, Lautaro Filchtinsky, indicated this Wednesday morning to Telam What there was no search result for the yacht “MOI Guadalupe”, Mexican Martín Vega Argaez, 44, and Cuban Denis Manuel Fernández Díaz, 46, were also traveling.

The Emergency Coordinator of the Brigade, Enrique Ochoa, explained to the news agency that “After these 48 hours, they will declare the research suspended” and stressed the need to “ask for the support of the Mexican authorities so that they do not suspend active research”. He added that “for the moment the research is still in effect only if it passes a period of passivity, then the request is that the active research be resumed”.

On this last point, Ochoa explained that active research includes “sending planes and boats to the area to do overflights and tours to try to find one’s bearings”.

On the other hand, passive research consists “of no longer flying over or sending ships, but only waiting for a notification from a particular or public ship or aircraft that flies over the region,” he concluded.

The yacht lost contact on September 28 as it returned to the Mexican city of Puerto Aventuras, its home port, after a humanitarian aid mission in Haiti.

Puerto Aventuras management has issued a notice of $ 10,000 reward for those who provide “decisive information” that allows the discovery of the IO Guadalupe.
