Facebook presented failures again

This official tweet was retweeted, until 5:15 p.m. this afternoon (Argentine time) one million five hundred thousand times, according to the same account.

On October 4, Facebook crashed with two other apps from the same company, Instagram and WhatsApp, and they sat idle for about seven hours.

Mark Zuckerberg, owner of the three e-products, attributed the incident to “a faulty configuration change”.

“Apologies to all concerned”, “we are working to better understand what happened” to “continue to improve our infrastructure”.

According to the company’s explanation, its engineering teams determined that “configuration changes to the main routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers have caused problems that have disrupted this communication.”
