It's still a day of fighting here at LowKickMMA, and the talent presented tonight (Friday, July 13, 2018) will come in the form of Bellator 202. At the top of the bill are Julia Budd and Talita Nogueira but there is a whole lot of great struggles also taking place on the rest of the main map.
Julia Budd and Talita Nogueira meet in a featherweight women's fight in the main event. In the first round, they had an early detection process. Fans started to boo because of the lack of action. Budd grabbed a kick and slammed it to the ground where she followed with an elbow. Budd kept it there by landing some big shots. In the second round, Nogueira tried to counter the strike with the champion but Budd did not bite and forced her to launch strikes. Budd landed a combo before landing with her against the fence. Budd came down and poured on the knocks and elbows while having Nogueira pinned. She can not get the end of the end though. On lap 3, Budd closed with strikes and clinched with her against the fence. Budd came down and landed a big right hand while entering before being half-protected. Nogueira was able to stand up but was bloody. Budd dropped him with a monster right hand and then finished with strikes on the group to restrain the strap.
Eduardo Dantas and Michael McDonald meet in a bantamweight fight in the co-main event. In the first round, McDonald dropped it with his right hand and then attacked it with ground hits.
Chris Honeycutt vs. Leo Leite is next in a middleweight fight. In the first round, Honeycutt came out aggressive and threw out his hands right away. Leite was trying to find his range while avoiding strikes. Honeycutt slipped and Leite stalled with him against the fence and got the withdrawal from the trip where he took his back. Honeycutt got up with Leite having it on his back. Leite took off and landed once again. They had a good exchange with Honeycutt who did a knee strike in the intestine. In the second round, Honeycutt hit Leite with a series of strokes as he dropped it and rained some big shots. Leite was able to get back on his feet and Honeycutt came close to him while landing some big uppercuts and knee shots that opened Leite. In the third round, Leite shot a desperate withdrawal attempt right out of the gate, but Honeycutt pocketed him and fired some shots in the back. Leite has recovered at the end of the round after taking some big shots of Honeycutt. Honeycutt pinned him against the fence and landed some big shots. Honeycutt won the fight by unanimous decision.
Opening the main card on Paramount Network is Ernest James vs. Valentin Moldavsky in a heavyweight fight. In the first run, they had a feeling process early while James blinked with his left eye. No word on it's snuck. James worked with knee kicks while Moldavsky was working for takedown. They separated with two minutes to go. James fired for a grounding, but Moldavsky clinched with him against the fence. Moldavsky lightened him with a combo with a few seconds left in the round and James went for the dull demolition while Moldavsky shot away with strikes to finish the round. In the second round, Moldavsky came out in flames and landed some good shots that cut off James, who left his eye swollen. James moved closer to him as his nose blew like no other. Moldavsky began landing some big shots and then backed James against the fence and ended it with strikes to end the fight.
