Joe Cada earned his fourth World Series of Poker bracelet, after all.

After eliminating the Main Event Cada decided to participate in one more tournament last week and ended up surviving another monster field Monday morning at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

The Closer, a $ 1500 buy-in No -Limit Hold 'em turbo tournament, drew 3120 players in hopes of getting the most out of a final shot on the WSOP circuit 2018, and Cada, this time, was the last player standing. The 45th player won four wristbands at the WSOP, founded in 1970.

"I feel great," Cada said afterwards, speaking to PokerNews. "What a way to crown it all."

The win was Cada's second this season, having won the second open event on the 78 tournament schedule. He paid $ 226,218, he paid $ 612,886, and in the meantime he earned $ 2.15 million for fifth place in the Main.

In all, Cada, 30, of Shelby Township, has cashed eight best personal tournaments this season, earning $ 3,025,439.

His WSOP lifetime winnings have now eclipsed $ 13 million, sixth all-time.

Interestingly, Cada entered this WSOP season having not played a lot in tournaments. He took advantage of his off-season to travel, and he took care of his father, Jerry, who had recently had a stroke.

Still, his game did not suffer from a lick. He made the final table at the first open event of the year, and then won the second – for bracelet # 3.

Cada also won the Main Event in 2009, for a first prize of $ 8.5 million, and a tournament in 2014 for $ 670,041.

Cada had a big double in the final table in The Closer, calling from the big blind with ace-eight. His last winning hand, ironically, was pocket 10s, in the same hand he won at the 2018 Main Event, won early Sunday morning by John Cynn. Nic Manion of Muskegon was fourth at $ 2.85 million
