In October of last year, General Motors announced a $ 500 million investment for its plant located in Alvear, south of Gran Rosario, through which it will create a new plant.

Of this amount, the company will contribute 300 million and the remaining 200 will be contributed by the suppliers. The expansion of the terminal will be in the same area on one side of the Rosario-Buenos Aires highway, where the company produces some 55,000 units of the Cruze per year.
As for the latter model, the new vehicle will be exported at 80%, mainly to Brazil. At the same time, they negotiate with the port of Rosario to use it as an export center.
GM's outlook for this year continues to be good. At the beginning of 2018, the expectation in the country was 950,000 0KM units sold and now it is expected that 860 thousand units will be sold.
