The triplets Robert, David and Eddy were separated at birth by a scientific experiment and 19 years later they met by chance.

The triplets were born one summer night of 1961, in the suburbs of New York, but they did not know the existence of their brothers until much later, when they had already 19 years.

The meeting

Robert Shafran attended his first day of clbades at the university and his clbadmates they confused him with another student, Eddy Galland. They told him that they were the same and insisted so much that he eventually got to know them.

The goal was to study the influence of genetics and parenting when children grow up in different socio-economic environments.

The Austrian psychologist Peter Neubauer was at the head of the studies, the results of which are in the archives of Yale University, with restricted access until 2065.
