Merval yields 0.5% in line with world markets trend

After two consecutive rises, the Merval Index of Argentine Stock Exchanges (BYMA) fell by 0.5% on Thursday, in line with its peers outside, mainly affected by the decline in shares of the financial sectors and energetic.

The main panel fell to 26,917.38 units. The largest losses are recorded by Grupo Financiero Valores (-2%); Supervielle (-2%); and Pampa Energía (-1.9%).

"The most important is that the appetite for bonds is reactivated, in order to reduce a country risk still very high, since it is precisely these vehicles that will allow the orderly transition of the phase of domestic financing in the hope of being able to reopen debt problems abroad " said economist Gustavo Ber.

The country risk, as measured by JP Morgan Bank, was 578 basis points.
