To date, there have been 82 cases of people with this disease. The majority of cases are concentrated here in the department of Unión (64); Five others come from Río Cuarto, seven from Pueblo Italiano, two from La Cesira and four from Marull. At present, no one is interned and no case is serious.
It should be noted that in the city of Río Cuarto, three other cases of trichinosis were detected, linked to an outbreak in the province of San Luis.
Of epidemiology, they warned that in the following days more cases may occur, due to the incubation period of the disease, that is to say, since the Food is consumed until the onset of symptoms – can go up to 45 days. Warning Symptoms

Trichinosis is a disease transmitted by the ingestion of raw or undercooked pork meat contaminated with the parasite Trichinella spiralis.
The symptoms can be very varied or even go unnoticed in some people. It usually starts with fever, severe muscle aches, headaches and pain and swelling of the eyes. Gastrointestinal signs such as diarrhea and vomiting may also appear.
