They closed a facility to exchange sausages contaminated with trichinosis

After badysis with positive results of sausages sent from Merlo, but manufactured in La Punilla, the Ministry of Health managed to detect the origin of the contaminated commodity that infected 17 people, who receive outpatient treatment . The establishment has been closed to block the source of the infection.

Samples were badyzed in the field laboratory, health audit, bromatology and food register of the province.

Cases of trichinosis were recorded in La Punilla, Merlo and in the vicinity of Villa Mercedes; and were badisted in the hospitals of Merlo, Villa Mercedes and La Toma

The Zoonoses Service, Subprogram of Control of Primary Productions, SENASA and Bromatology of the Ministry of Health coordinated the health interventions of the establishment and established its closure.
