Close the kitchen of cultures: the release with the reasons

Two years ago, the Electroengineering Foundation began to solve the fate of Cocina de Culturas (Julio A. Roca 491): In recent hours, rumors had announced the imminent closure of the Bella Vista neighborhood, which has lasted seven and a half years. only with shows but with a strong neighborhood, cultural, social and educational activity.

The foundation has issued the following statement:

"Córdoba, November 28, 2018

After 7 and a half years of intense, continuous and rewarding activity, we closed the cycle we had started in 2011 and which we enthusiastically call Cuisine of Cultures.

Thousands of friends, artists and the public joined us, became members of the Cocina community and shared the space and its activities. An excellent group of professionals worked day after day, so that artistic and community proposals included a variety of cultural expressions.

The kitchen was born as a space to share, to agree, allowing the artists to express themselves but also to the district, the universities and the collectives of multiple forms of expression.

With satisfaction, joy and pride, we can say that we realized this dream and that many friends were part of it.

Today, the difficult situation of the country, the economic reality that affects a large part of the population and which has a direct impact on the possibility of development of all projects as Cuisine, prevents us from continuing as we had done and we will do it until the last day of the month. December of this year.

The desire to do so will continue to motorize our dream. In the future, some activities may light the lights in the kitchen for a moment. For the moment, we badyze the possibilities that this difficult situation can create.
