A Santa Fe police officer was arrested on suspicion of stealing the football player's business Diego Barisone, shortly after the fatal crash of the footballer on the Santa Fe-Rosario highway in July 2015.
According to sources informed Thursday, by an anonymous tip to the Domestic Affairs Division, searches were carried out Wednesday in the uniform house and at the Coronda City Radio Command, with the kidnapping of nine cell phones, including one to the former defender of Lanús and Union.
During these operations, drugs were seized, belongings that would have belonged to Barisone, a numbered 9 millimeter pistol, an illegal 12 millimeter weapon, a policeman and two bullet-proof vests.
During the same investigation, 10 other agents of the 15th regional unit were made available.
The suspect could be charged with "calamitous flight", a facility-related modality resulting from a disaster, such as a flood or earthquake, or under painful circumstances for the victim of the crime.
He also tries to determine if the arrested policeman was the one who broadcast photographs of the player's body, which at the time was viralized via WhatsApp.
