This Friday, November 30, one of the most anticipated series from fans arrives at Netflix. It is an outrageous case that happened in 2005.

This Friday the 30th it reaches Netflix a controversial first: it is about "Baby", the Italian series with the controversial scenario that takes place in an institute attended by children from wealthy families.

For some, there will be more of a similarity with the Spanish series "Elite". However, the difference is that "Baby" is based on a real case that shook Italy in 2005: two girls who were going to day in one of the most prestigious institutes of Rome and were working in the evening as prostitutes for politicians, lawyers and men of power in this country.

"Baby" is based on this Italian scandal known as "baby squillo" (meaning minor prostitute). The two teenagers aged 14 and 15 acted in the wealthy district of Parioli (Rome) to pay for expensive clothes, mobile phones and other quirks. Businessmen and politicians, including Mauro Floriani, husband of Alessandra Mussolini, granddaughter of Benito Mussolini, were involved in this network of child prostitution.

In the series, the protagonists are Chiara (Benedetta Porcaroli) and Ludovica (Alice Pagani). This first has already been the subject of several criticisms, including Lisa Thompson, vice president of the National Center for Sexual Exploitation of the United States, who described the attitude of Netflix "hypocritical" for dismissing Kevin Spacey, but at the same time finance this series.
