Hidalgo, who is a personal friend of President Mauricio Macri, also said that there would be two weekly frequencies "the route will be Madrid-Montevideo-Iguazú on Thursday, and Saturday it will be Madrid-Iguazú-Montevideo".

The second frequency will leave Madrid at 11:55 pm on Thursday and will then go to Iguazu to return to the Spanish capital directly from Iguazu on Friday at 1:25 pm and arrive in Madrid the next day at 5:00 am.
