The Speaker of Parliament and self-proclaimed President of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, sent this Saturday a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, asking him to activate "support mechanisms" to deal with the humanitarian crisis in the country.

He also stressed that the "emergency situation" in which Venezuela finds itself "has millions of victims who do not have access to health, food security, education and training. security (personal)."
Venezuela, the country with the largest proven reserves of crude oil in the world, is going through an acute economic crisis that is resulting in a shortage of products, hyperinflation and frequent failures in the provision of public services.
Guaidó notes that "in the near future" the international community will be invited to Venezuela for "establish the best strategy for securing funding for humanitarian badistance in transition"and" the best way of national reconstruction and reconciliation ".
The UN has confirmed a visit by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, although there is still no specific date or list of the representative of this organization would like to visit.
The opposition, relatives and lawyers of Venezuelan political prisoners have asked more than ten times the visit of Bachelet to verify the situation in which the country is located.
While Guaidó expects an answer, in Venezuela, the political tension that has increased since the opposition obtained the powers of the interim executive, is maintained before the "usurpation" which ensures Nicolás Maduro of the presidency .
