A woman remains locked in the elevator of New York for three days

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES.A woman spent three days stuck in a private elevator in a Manhattan mansion before being rescued, police said Monday.

The 53-year-old woman was saved and on Monday she was in stable condition in a hospital, the authorities said. The woman is an employee of the home owner, a multi-million dollar investor in Arkansas.

At around 10:00 am, the authorities responded to a call to the 911 emergency number at the mansion located at 65th Street East near Central Park.

The mansion is owned by Warren A. Stephens and his wife Harriet Stephens. The banker did not immediately respond to a message requesting comments left to Stephens Inc., his investment bank based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The authorities are investigating the incident.
