UNITED STATES, Washington D.C.- The highest intelligence officials of the Government of United States they testified together before the Senate Intelligence Committee this morning, when hearing global threats that takes place once a year.
What they said not only left more than one person very concerned, but directly contradicts many statements by President Donald Trump.
FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel, and National Intelligence Director Dan Coats for China and Russia plan a new attack for the 2020 elections
"We determine that foreign players will see in the US elections of 2020 an opportunity to defend their interests," said Coats. Trump has repeatedly stated that Russia did not intervene in the 2016 elections.
In another statement, Coats said that North Korea did not intend to abandon its nuclear weapons because "its leaders consider these weapons as essential to the survival of the regime". In June, President Trump declared that the country that governs Kim Jong Un "is no longer a nuclear threat".
The leaders of the three intelligence agencies submit to the Senate committee a document badessing the country's greatest risks.
"Since the 1950s, China and Russia are no longer united and relations are likely to grow stronger next year, as some of their interests and perceptions of threats converge, including on what they perceive as unilateralism and the promotion of Western democratic values and human rights by the United States, "says the evaluation.
