Crisis in Venezuela: Massive new march against Nicolás Maduro's regime

Juan Guaidó leads a mbadive march to Caracas to demand the "freedom" of Venezuela. The self-appointed president badured that it would act as "the biggest mobilization of the history of the continent".

The streets of Venezuela are once again the scenario in which Chavismo and the opposition are trying to demonstrate their support. This time, however, critics of Nicolás Maduro decided to maintain the protests "until the fall of the dictator", according to the leader of the opposition, Juan Guaidó.

Guaidó redoubled the bet and called for a "permanent march until the Maduro usurper was gone". "We will make the biggest march of Venezuela and the history of our continent," promised Guaidó. The self-proclaimed president said: "We must all go down the streets of Venezuela and the world with a clear goal: to accompany the ultimatum given by the members of the European Union (EU)," referring to the demand for new presidential elections that Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom visited Maduro last week.

The opposition demonstration began with the impact of the announcement of the General Division of the Venezuelan aviation Francisco Yánez, who ignored Maduro in a video broadcast on social networks, becoming thus the highest ranking of active armed forces to recognize Guaidó at the same time.

While the opposition is concentrated in the east of Caracas, in the center, the pro-government party celebrates the 20th anniversary of the so-called "Bolivarian revolution" led by the late Hugo Chávez. Today exactly, the manifestation of the opposition coincides with the day when the deadline fixed by Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and France in Maduro to claim free elections expires.

Up to now, the leader opposed to the Chavez regime has recognized the European Parliament, but there is no consensus in the European Union. Italy has recently stated that she does not recognize either Guaidó or Maduro.
