Venezuelan military They blocked a bridge on the border with Colombia on Tuesday, denounced an opposition parliamentarian while humanitarian aid arrived before the serious shortage of food and medicine in Venezuela.
The tank of a fuel transportation office and a gigantic container they were crossed on the road to close the path on the Tienditas bridge, which connects the cities of Cúcuta (Colombia) and Ureña (Venezuela).
Franklyn Duarte, deputy of the Venezuelan border of Táchira, declared to the AFP What?troops of the armed forces blocked the pbadage"in the hours of the afternoon.
The humanitarian aid was managed by Juan Guaidó, Speaker of Parliament recognized by some 40 countries as acting president of the oil country after self-proclaimed Jan. 23.
The opponent was sworn in after Nicolás Maduro was declared "usurper"of the presidency by the Legislative, the only power controlled by the opposition in Venezuela, alleging that the Socialist President was reelected by fraudulent votes.
Maduro denies the possibility of accepting international aid, considering it as "excuse"to launch a military intervention led by the United States.
According to Duarte, the road on the bridge was cut as a result of a confusing incident occurred in Ureña when soldiers arrived in armored vehicles to guard the border. The legislator said that three people had been injured as a result of the explosion of a motorcycle tank.
"They can put a wall and they will not prevent help"said the MP.
The tienditas bridge has not yet been inaugurated. It was due to be released in 2016, but the temporary closure of the 2,200-kilometer border – ordered by the Maduro government in late 2015 and lifted months later – delayed its opening.
However, according to press reports, this would be one of the entry routes for consignments of food products and medicines from abroad; although Duarte badured him again "it has not been defined"
The Venezuelan opposition calls on the armed forces to allow humanitarian aid, which according to Guaidó is gathered in Colombia, Brazil and a Caribbean island whose name has not been revealed. The United States has already announced a first expedition.
To prevent it, the military would cross a "red line", said Tuesday MP Miguel Pizarro.
"There is a limit (…) Food and medical products make up this red line," said Pizarro.
