He went out to smoke a cigarette on the platform, but he left his baby in the car and the train started.

A man had moments of great anxiety in Cleveland after going out to smoke on the train in which he was carrying a cigarette to the station wharf and leaving his little son sitting without realizing that the training was leaving.

The video was recorded by security cameras of the transport company.

On the images, you can see the man when he gets on the train and installs his son in one of the seats, before going down to smoke a cigarette.

The recording shows that only the baby and a young man were in the car. When he noticed the departure of the railway, he approached the windows screaming to warn the father of the child.

Desperate, the man and another person tried to stop the training without success.

According to the local press, the incident reportedly took place at Windermere Station and, thanks to the swift intervention of operations and police personnel, the return of the train was promptly ordered to the father's reunification and of his son.

The regional transport company said the driver had been sanctioned for maintaining "inappropriate communication", an investigation revealing that he had not warned the departing pbadengers. However, the train driver says he gave the alert.

Finally, a spokesman for the company said the baby was safe when he was alone in the car.
