A 19-year-old girl identified as Nichanat Manuchan He hugged the chest of an elephant to take a picture, but the pachyderm reacted violently and caused chaos at a rural fair held in Surin (Thailand).

As shown in a video published by the Daily Mail, the young woman grabbed the elephant's trunk and hung on one of the horns. The rabid animal struck the nearby food stalls amid the cries of the witnesses.

In an attempt to free her, a man hit the pachyderm with a metal element. In an instant, the animal shakes the woman against a tree, causing injury in different parts of the body. Out of danger, the girl is excused.
