Bicycles and electric skates will reach all corners of Mexico

Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the government of Mexico City, announced Sunday that bicycles and electric skates companies will have to extend to the entire city of Mexico due to saturation suffered by the city center by this type of transport.

"It's good that (the companies) want to be in the offices of the mayor, but there is already some saturation, and we have to find out how they can get into other municipalities", said the head of the capital at a press conference.

He recalled that this service is offered only in some of the 16 city halls that make up Ciudad de Mexico, For what will have to create a new regulation that determines the future of these vehicles and expansion to other parts of the metropolis.

According to Sheinbaum, this will be a necessary condition for alternative transport companies to continue their activities. A regulation should be presented within a month and a half. which determines where these vehicles can be located.

This manual will be a first approach for the final settlement that will be published in the coming months, after the phenomenon is badyzed in more detail.

Sheinbaum also announced the opening of new bike parking near subway stations, it was found that the infrastructure was inadequate.
