Democrats and Republicans reached an agreement in principle to avoid a new closure of the US government at the end of this week, Senators announced, includes $ 1.375 million for the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico.

"We reached an agreement in principle on internal security" among others, Republican Senator Richard Shelby told reporters.

The agreement still needs to get approval from the White House.

The Democrats and Trump had to face for weeks before the first US refusal to finance the wall.

The deadlock has caused the federal government to shut down for more than a monthuntil January 25, when the president promulgated a law giving three weeks to the legislator to reach an agreement, on pain of further paralysis.
