The city of Seattle in the United States, he decided to act and, two years ago, he changed the school entry hours so that teenagers could start an hour later, from 7:50 to 8:45.
This is because in adolescence, the circadian rhythm (biological rhythm) it is modified and thus the sleep cycle. In particular, young people go to bed later, around midnight, and asking them to get up early the next day is almost impossible.
In addition to the modified circadian rhythm in adolescents, the use of screens and smartphones in the night, this affects the process of sleep, by the blue light that they emit.

But not only in Seattle are changing the schedules of entry. In France, The president of the metropolitan area of Ile de France, Valérie Pécresse, recently proposed to the Minister of Education, Jean Michel Blanquer, to change the school calendar the 500 thousand students in high school in the region, that is to say, start clbades later at 9 am instead of the usual 8:30 am.
