A shoot in an industrial components plant in the city of Aurora, outside of Chicago (USA) left six dead, including the alleged perpetrator, according to the local police department.
Department head Kristen Ziman also reported that five of his agents were injured when they entered the industrial complex in response to the shooting.
Finally, the alleged perpetrator of the shooting, identified as Gary Martin, age 45, was shot by other police officers who confronted him inside the complex. The authorities found the remaining five dead inside the warehouse.

Workers of the company in which the shooting occurred (Henry Pratt Company) they told the local media that Martin was his companion and the police have not yet revealed any reason. The shooting took place minutes before 1:30 pm local time (7:30 pm GMT) in this company, Aurora, an industrial town of about 200,000 residents located 60 miles west of Chicago.
The governor of Illinois, Juliana Stratton, said the incident occurred a day after the first anniversary of the shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida, where 17 students had died. "Armed violence is a national emergency," he said.

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed that the president, Donald Trump, had been informed of the shooting and had "followed the situation" in the city.
Later, the president applauded the "great work" of the Aurora police and offered his condolences to the victims and their families. "Great work from the police in Aurora, Illinois, sincere condolences to all the victims and their families, America is with you!", He said via Twitter.
The shooting in Aurora took place the day after the first anniversary of the one that took place at Parkland High School, in the state of Florida, where 17 people were murdered: 14 students and three workers.
