In a commemorative act of the Government of the State of Bolívar, transmitted compulsorily by radio and television, he indicated that he "looking for new ways with the United Nations"for the purchase of medicines and food.

In this direction He reiterated his refusal to accept humanitarian aid from the United States, Colombia and other countries. because, he pointed out, Venezuelans are not "beggars".

The president said the cargo had been paid for by the government and again questioned the US intention to help Venezuela because, in his view, Donald Trump's administration is seeking to invade the country to appropriate wealth.

The Trump Government do not recognize Maduro as president of Venezuela after winning an election characterized as fraudulent, he instead gave this recognition to the Speaker of Parliament, Juan Guaidó, who received in January the powers of the executive as president in charge.

The US administration considers Maduro a dictator and responsible for the country's severe crisis, which has resulted in a shortage of food and medicine.
