He is 17 years old and has survived by jumping from the 13th floor without falling directly on the asphalt.
The moving episode occurred in the city of New Taipei on Saturday afternoon. A 17-year-old boy jumped into the void and he survived. Police consider the act as an apparent suicide. Perhaps linked to the strong academic pressure his family explained to the authorities, he had plunged into a depression.
The boy fell on the roof of a vehicle that had stopped at a traffic light. There was no sign of life when the ambulance arrived. But he recovered at the hospital and is out of danger.
The driver of the vehicle was the one who immediately called the police and the medical services. The man was afraid to feel the impact of the student and was in shock.
Because if the fire was green, it is likely that the young man had hit directly on the asphalt.
The doctors at Shuangho Hospital who treated the injured man were surprised to see that the young man had survived.
They reported having suffered leg lacerations, multiple rib fractures and collapse of a lung, thanks to the shock-absorbing vehicle.
