The global provider of stock indexes MSCI announced yesterday that Argentina would rise to the rank of emerging market in May, but that following the devaluation, it remains for the moment as "emerging frontier ".

In a statement, the agency announced that "exceptionally, the MSCI Argentina index will be retained in the MSCI Emerging Markets-Frontier Index (FEM) after its reclbadification from the border market to the market emerge as part of the semiannual publication of May 2019 index revision (SAIR) ".
