Corrientes: Controversy over the display of British flags at Carnival

After the controversy, the organization reached a consensus with the leaders of the group with the ex-combatants and British flags will be removed tonight from the show.

"I would have preferred the flags to continue for artistic continuity as part of a critical performance that we are doing in the UK as a power, but with the ex-combatants, I realized which could affect and we decided to remove them", Said the delegate of the company Arandu Beleza de Corrientes, Mario Rey.

In addition, the leader said that "we have not taken into account if the change of flag could affect us in the competition with other competitors because what these men have done for Argentina is very important ".

The change of badges will take place from the night of this Wednesday, the second day of the show Comparsas, which takes place in the amphitheater "Mario del Tránsito Cocomarola" and which includes the staging of the themes chosen by each group musical show

Arandú Beleza is competing in the first category with two other comparsas and, in this edition of the official carnival, its theme is "deliver us from all evil", in the segment entitled "Governors – the powers", they represent with a negative connotation the countries that accumulate a greater global wealth based on capitalism, consumerism, greed, among other concepts.

In this way, a group of dancers ignites the British flags, as well as other world powers, and after two weekends of parades in the corsó dromo "Nolo Alias" of the capital Corrientes took the repudiation of various centers veterans who have rejected the use of this emblem.
