Earthquake 7.7º in Ecuador

An earthquake was recorded near the border between Ecuador and Peru in the early hours of this Friday. The magnitude was 7.7, according to data from the US Geological Survey. (USGS, for its acronym in English). The epicenter of the earthquake was located 152 km deep near the border with Peru.

For its part, the Geophysical Institute of Ecuador estimates the magnitude of the earthquake at 7.62 and its depth at 137.56 km.
