A 98-year-old woman settled in a retirement home to care for her 80-year-old son, who never married and decided to stay close to him despite his age .
Ada Keating, a 98-year-old woman, decided to go live in a geriatric take care of his son Tom, 80, who has health problems.
The elders are from Wavertree, a suburb of Liverpool, England. Ada and her husband Harry, now deceased, had two sons and two daughters. One of the men died at the age of 13. While women lived and formed their families, Tom never married and first lived with his parents and then only with his mother.
Tom was a painter and worked for a construction company, but years after his retirement, he began to suffer from health problems that led him to need daily care that his mother, very old, could not give him at home . Therefore, at age 79, they decided that the best thing to do was that Tom enter a geriatric home.
But mother and son were used to being together and it was not easy to live apart, so that's why a year after Tom's departure from home, Ada decided to live with him.
The director of the center, Philip Daniels, said: "It is moving to see Tom and Ada's close relationships and we are very pleased to have been able to meet both of these needs.It is very rare to see mothers and their children together in the same center and we want definitely make their time together as special as possible ".
A grandmother wrote her own obituary and mocked everyone: "Finally, I have the fiery body that I've always wanted …"
