A dead cow hits an employee of the slaughterhouse and sends it to the hospital

A dead cow kicked an employee of a slaughterhouse in Germany, who was badly injured in the face, police said Friday.

The cow had been "slaughtered according to the rules" Thursday in a slaughterhouse in Aalen and hung on a butcher's hook to be treated, according to the police report.

The body was kicked in the face of the employee, apparently because of a nerve impulse that, according to experts, is not unusual.

The 41-year-old worker was hospitalized.
