According to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, a friend of the woman called her home because she had not heard from her "more than a month ago". Concerned about not being able to communicate with her, she decided to alert the police, who came to the house a few hours later.

In this sense, the police said that the young man had said "cut the woman into pieces, keep her in the tupperware and hide her in the fridge to eat later". At the same time, he revealed that other remains of the corpse had been fed to his own dog. Because of this aberrant act of cannibalism, the police arrested him in the last hours of yesterday.

On the other hand, several neighbors badured that the woman was last seen last Tuesday and that same night, they heard strong fries and blows coming from inside the house.

Currently, the man has a serious history that could complicate his procedural situation. In this line, it was known that he had more than 12 complaints of gender-based violence filed by his mum and that, moreover, he was interned for several months in a psychiatric clinic for having consumed alcohol and narcotics.
